Larry Lecturing web copyLarry Cohen is ranked one of the Top 10 Living Most Influential Bridge Personalities and in 2020, he was elected into the ACBL Hall of Fame. He has been dedicated to the game since earning his Life Master at 17. He is the author of numerous articles, ABTA award-winning books, software, audio CDs and teaching DVDs.

Since early on in the pandemic, Larry and his team have been offering online lessons which quickly caught on and became amazingly popular, keeping the thrill of the game alive for house-bound followers.

The Itinerary

NewOrleans canstockphotoMARCH 4-6 – Pre-Cruise in New Orleans. The vibe is unique; the cuisine is iconic. Explore the famous French Quarter or visit the stunning Garden District. Morning lessons with Larry and much more!
MARCH 6 –  Group transfer to the American Duchess.
MARCH 7 – Nottoway, LA.
Visit the impressive sugarcane plantation, the largest antebellum mansion in the South and learn about its fascinating history.
MARCH 8 – River Cruising.
MARCH 9 – Natchez, MS.
This charming river town was founded in 1716, making it the oldest city on the Mississippi River. It’s known for its elegance, hospitality and impressive preservation of history—found on every street corner. Enjoy the unique shops, restaurants, museums and historic homes.
MARCH 10 – Vicksburg, MS.
As a major battle site during the Civil War, this Southern town carries a history unlike any other.
MARCH 11 – Port of Mississippi Delta, MS.
The Mississippi Delta is more than a geographical region; it is a way of life – a true cultural experience based on agriculture, music and history. These small river towns have been the inspiration of authors, musicians and artists for centuries.

Disembark. Visit this bustling music mecca on your own, home to the likes of Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Sun Studio, and the wondrous sounds of Beale Street. A must see ... The ACBL Museum located in Horn Lake, about 20 minutes from downtown Memphis.

The Ship

American DuchessSpacious and luxurious, the American Duchess is a boutique-style riverboat offering exquisite dining, beautiful decks and exceptional amenities. Her suites range from 180 to 550 square feet, allowing guests to stay in some of the largest accommodations on the rivers. Unique to the American Duchess are her Loft Suites which feature two stories enhanced by floor-to-ceiling windows, two full bathrooms, and a comfortable dining area. Inspired by America’s heartland and our Southern heritage, menus showcase the varied cultural and culinary influences of our nation. The elegant J.M. White Dining Room has a stunning ambience and superb service. For more casual dining the Front Porch Café features favorite main dishes, such as roast prime rib alongside irresistible sides – roasted new potatoes, classic mac-and-cheese and fresh salads.
